Beginner

Scuba Discovery
Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? This is a quick and easy introduction into what it takes to explore the underwater world. After 20 minutes of online learning or a detailed briefing and being all geared up by us, you enter the water and you learn the basic safety and scuba skills needed to dive and then head off to experience an underwater adventure. On the first dive we go to a maximum depth of 6 meters and during the optional second dive we might go as deep as 12 meters.
You must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health and know how to swim.

Open Water Scuba Diver
In the Open Water Scuba Diver course your instructor will guide you through the basics of how to scuba dive. The course consists of three main phases:
• Knowledge Development (online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
• Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
• Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!
The course consists of several sessions in water with pool like conditions and 4 dives in open water. It takes 3 to 4 days and you must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health and able to swim 200 meters.

Advanced
The price of all our courses include all learning materials and certification, land transportation to and from the dive sites and all the equipment you need for the course. Advanced Adventure Diver
If you’ve taken your Open Water Scuba Diver course and are now ready to expand your knowledge and diving experience, then the Advanced Adventure Diver course is for you! The Advanced Adventure course will let you experience five different diver specialties. After completing the compulsory deep and underwater navigation dives, you will choose three additional dives from a long list of options. Advanced Adventure divers are certified to dive to 30 meters!

Advanced Adventure Diver and Computer Nitrox Diver
Combine the Advanced Adventure Diver course with the Computer Nitrox Diver course – the most popular specialty course. You will learn how to use enriched air nitrox safely while extending your bottom time, especially when doing more than one dive on a day. We offer free Nitrox fills for all dives deeper than 18 meters on this combination course.

Rescue Diver
he Rescue Diver course is a 3-4 day course and teaches you techniques to avoid and manage problems and improve your confidence as a diver. During the course you’ll become a better buddy by enhancing your ability to identify potential problems and by practicing dive emergency protocol. The subject is serious but the training is fun – many divers tell us the PADI Rescue Diver course was their favourite! We very strongly recommend to do this course with at least one other person together to benefit most from the rescue scenarios in the course.
This course is ideal for advanced divers who are eager to expand their skills and dive deeper into the world of diving safety. Prerequisites include an Advanced Adventure Diver certification, a minimum age of 18 (or 10 with parental consent), proof of advanced diving experience and current CPR and first aid certifications. Alternatively students can do CPR and first aid training with us during the Rescue Diver course.

The Divemaster course offers divers the chance to ascend to the professional ranks of diving. Technical
Technical diving courses provide the techniques and procedures necessary for diving beyond recreational dive limits. These are some of the most intensive, yet exhilarating, courses you’ll find. Technical diving isn’t for everyone but if this type of diving appeals to you and you’re willing to accept the risks, responsibilities and obligations, you’ll find it one of the most rewarding dive experiences you’ll ever have. Scubatech offers training for Technical Divers based on the Technical Diving International (TDI) curriculum. Technical Diving International was one of the first agencies of its kind and is the largest technical diving agency in the world. Its courses and certifications are recognized everywhere as the gold standard by which others are measured.
Technical diving requires dives under conditions that are not covered by normal holiday insurance. In some cases, even normal scuba diving insurance is not adequate. In order to make use of any of our technical diving services, you must provide proof of diving accident insurance which covers technical diving activities.
Intro To Tech
The TDI Intro to Tech Course is a two-day introductory course aimed specifically at divers who heard about technical diving and want to find out more. You will practice in-depth dive planning, advanced buoyancy control, gas management, situational awareness, proper trim, gear configuration and selection. You will be using an equipment configuration for technical diving – so twinsets or double sidemount!

Advanced Nitrox
The TDI Advanced Nitrox Course qualifies divers to use enriched air nitrox from EAN 21 through EAN 100 percent within your current certification level to a maximum depth of 40 meters during dives that do not require staged decompression. Often taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course, this can be considered the foundation of your technical diving career.

Decompression Procedures
Are you finding your no-decompression limits (NDLs) a limiting factor to dives? Do you have to ascend sooner than you would like? The Decompression Procedures Course prepares you for planned staged decompression diving. With a maximum operating depth of 45 meters, this course is your first step beyond the normal sport diving limits. The TDI Decompression Procedures Course combined with the TDI Advanced Nitrox course form the foundation of all other technical courses.

Extended Range (Air) Diver
Certain areas of the world provide spectacular dives at depths deeper than 40 meters but may not have access (or very limited access) to helium. The TDI Extended Range course teaches you the proper techniques for utilizing compressed air as a breathing gas, and with a maximum depth of 55 meters, so you don’t have to miss those dives! The TDI Extended Range Diver Course provides the training and experience necessary including proper techniques, equipment requirements, and hazards of deep air diving, to competently utilize air for dives up to 55 meters that require staged decompression, using nitrox mixtures or oxygen during decompression.

At Scubatech all Specialty Course prices include all learning materials and certification, land transportation to and from the dive sites and all equipment you need for the course unless explicitly noted otherwise. For the Digital Underwater Photographer and Underwater Videographer courses, students need to bring their own camera and for the Dry Suit Diver course students need to have their own dry suit.
Computer Nitrox Diver
The most popular specialty course. Dive longer and enhance safety with Nitrox certification, the choice gas for discerning divers. The Computer Nitrox course equips you with the know-how to safely harness Nitrox’s benefits, enriching your dives with gas mixtures from 22% to 40% oxygen. The course can be taken as a “dry” course or optionally with 2 actual Nitrox dives. You must be a certified Open Water Scuba Diver to take the course.

Deep Diver
The lure of the deep. There’s something exciting and mysterious about exploring deeper dive sites while scuba diving. Sometimes it’s a wreck that attracts you, and on wall dives it may be a giant fan or sponge. Whatever it is, to scuba dive with confidence at depths down to 40 meters, you should take the Deep Diver Specialty course. During the course you will learn about:
- History of dive tables and computers
- Equipment needed for deep diving
- Physics and physiology of deep diving
- Emergency procedures for deep diving and first aid
At Scubatech we teach this course over two days and it involves three dives. If you are an enriched air diver, we provide free nitrox on all three dives. You must at least be a certified Open Water Scuba Diver to take this course.

Wreck Diver
Malta is famous for its many wrecks, whether purpose-sunk as an artificial reef for scuba divers, or lost as the result of an accident or in the war, wrecks are fascinating to explore and usually teem with aquatic life. The Limited Penetration Wreck Diver Specialty course is popular because it offers rewarding adventures while observing responsible wreck diving practices. During this course you will learn about:
• Safety considerations for navigating and exploring wrecks.
• Surveying and mapping a wreck.
• Using penetration lines and reels to guide exploration.
• Techniques to avoid kicking up silt or disturbing the wreck and its inhabitants.
At Scubatech this course takes 2 days and involves 4 dives. If you are at least a certified Open Water Scuba Diver, you can enrol in this course. However we recommend that students are Advanced Adventure Divers which will allow us to include slightly deeper and more interesting wrecks during the course.
